Cross & Flame

United Methodist church congregations are connectional, meaning we work together as one church.

First Bethel occasionally volunteers at the Eastbrook Mission Barn which is one of six UMCOR Relief Supply Network depots across the United States.  The facility is used to store relief supplies like Flood Buckets, Health Kits, and School Kits year-round, as well as providing a work space for volunteers.

UMCOR donations are a great way to participate in coordinated relief efforts for special needs like natural disasters.  Remember every dollar given through the United Methodist Committee on Relief goes directly to the cause with NO administrative overhead fees.

Stop Hunger Now is another United Methodist initiative where volunteers set up and take down packaging stations and equipment, fill bins with raw ingredients, scoop ingredients into meal bags, weigh and seal the bags, box and stack them on pallets, and load the pallets and equipment onto a truck.  These events educate volunteers  about global hunger and inspire them to get more involved in fighting it.

These are just examples of ways that First Bethel participates in connectional ministries with other United Methodist congregations.
