Prayer Quilts
When First Bethel’s quilters gather to work on a project, they are doing more than stitching fabric together—they are participating in a powerful prayer ministry.
Quilts are made for those in the congregation and beyond who are in special need of prayer. Before the quilts are delivered, they are consecrated during a worship service and members of the congregation tie knots on strings attached to the quilts. Each knot represents a prayer.
Those who receive the quilts know they are not just being covered by its warmth—they are also being surrounded by the prayers of a loving community of faith.
